After July 3rd's Lights On The River, it's July 4th. Parade Time!
Young and not-so-young all get into the action.
It seems more parade every year!
And, for those in the convertables, thankfully the rain held off.
On
Colton Country Day, while some were resting up from the effort of
jumping frogs or quilt viewing, a group of intrepid, soon-to-be-wet
Pirates once again went into battle over booty and grog. The
Mastro crew was bold enough to show their faces, while most turned away
from the camera (also from defending their skipper!)
John
Bartholomew was kind enough to send us some Battle Scenes he wisely
took, on shore, from his place. Yes, that's a fire hose!!!
The
fireworks this year were nothing short of spectacular. Thanks to
Jim Perkins for his excellent work capturing them in these
photos. For many more shots and other excellent photos of the
beauty and fauna around Colton, please check out his Flickr pages.
