Another
season's ended. The boats are out, the docks and lawn chairs secured
and the birds are headed South. But, as we start to layer our garb and
anticipate the "white stuff" to come, I thought I'd share some of John
Bartholomew's excellent shots of our loons, including "Higley" who, for
a time, had a hook in his beak. Remember that these symbols of the
North Country won't be gone forever and when you again hear their
mournful cries, it will be time for warmth and another fun season to
return to Higley Flow.
